Following 2022’s collaboration with electronic producer Blanck Mass on Surface, Editors have found themselves somewhere new entirely. When the band regrouped in summer 2025 to work on a follow-up, after three albums written and recorded very much as in-the-studio projects, the band took a stripped-back, acoustic-based approach to the new material, trying different things out and seeing where they went.
