I am delighted to be able to announce two forthcoming in-store performances during June:
First up, Larkin Poe will be appearing at 2pm on Saturday 20th June. They are currently supporting Elvis Costello on his UK tour. Wikipedia describes them as an American roots rock duo who feature strong southern harmonies, heavy electric guitar riffs, and slide guitar, although they will be playing acoustically so less of the heavy electric guitar riffs, well so my neighbours hope! And just when we thought were couldn’t possibly top that, we only did! On Friday 26th June at 1pm, we will have Simpson/Cutting/Kerr playing in store. Multi-award-winning musician, singer and songwriter Martin Simpson, master of the diatonic accordion and most other squeezeboxes Andy Cutting, and recently anointed BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year Nancy Kerr, are currently touring in support of their latest release, Murmurs (see below). Don’t forget that, to kick off a marvellous June line-up of live in-store music, Danny George Wilson of the Danny & the Champs will be playing live in store at 6pm on Saturday the 6th.
