- The Rolling Stones Welcome to Shepherd’s Bush
As The Rolling Stones were preparing to play two nights at Wembley Stadium in June 1999, their first London shows in 4 years, they announced a surprise show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire for 8 June. An intimate crowd of 1800 lucky fans were treated to a number of rarely heard gems over the course of 96 minutes. As Mick Jagger stated from the stage that night, “If you want to see the hits go to the big place down the road.” And as promised, the deep cuts were deep – ‘Melody’ performed for the first time since 1977, while ‘Moon Is Up’ was brought to the stage for the only time in the band’s live career. Sheryl Crow, who opened the show, joins the band during ‘Honky Tonk Women’.

- Ryan Adams Blackhole
Ryan Adams’ infamous cult classic album Blackhole is being released on classic black vinyl and CD for the very first time. The album’s contents and final tracklisting have been widely speculated since its conception in the early ’00s. After nearly two decades of anticipation, Adams is now ready to release the album officially. Featuring ‘Catherine’, heard only in live performances, alongside previously unheard material, Blackhole captures the raw, unfiltered emotion that defines Adam’s songwriting. The shelved album, first demoed in 2006, became heavily bootlegged, with fans circulating low-quality recordings and snippets from live performances, fuelling a demand for the album’s official release. This long-awaited full-length album not only satisfies years of fan speculation, but also reclaims a crucial moment in Ryan Adam’s history.

- Lauren Mayberry Vicious Creature
Lauren Mayberry, the frontwoman for acclaimed electro-pop band CHVRCHES, releases her eagerly awaited debut solo album, Vicious Creature. The album includes the key singles ‘Something in the Air’, ‘Crocodile Tears’, ‘Shame’, ‘Change Shapes’ and ‘Are You Awake?’

- Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles from Abbey Road
Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles from Abbey Road features 12 Beatles songs including classic hits and beloved deeper tracks. While many great artists have recorded in the hallowed Abbey Road Studios, as it turns out, Williams is the first major artist to actually record Beatles’ songs there aside from the Fab Four themselves. As an acclaimed, award-winning singer/songwriter for more than four decades, Williams’ music has been highly influential and covered by a multitude of artists. Williams is also an extraordinary interpreter who, like all great interpreters, has the ability to inhabit a song and make it her own. She does just that throughout this selection of Beatles tracks, as she has done on each Lu’s Jukebox volume.

- Duster In Dreams
San Jose slowcore/space rock outfit Duster returns with surprise album In Dreams, continuing their of inclination of sonically capturing an open-ended question. These thirteen tracks hone in on their trademark dark, droning guitar tones, dialled back percussion and alluring hard-panned vocals while expanding and exploring synth- and drum machine-heavy avenues.

- Skunk Anansie Post Orgasmic Chill (25th anniversary)
This week sees the 25th anniversary of the release Skunk Anansie’s iconic third album, Post Orgasmic Chill. Boasting hit singles ‘Charlie Big Potato’, ‘Secretly’, ‘You’ll Follow Me Down’ and ‘Lately’, this deluxe expanded edition includes 10 contemporary B-sides, many of which were only available in a limited way and most of which have never been available on vinyl. This is an album so important in alternative rock that it elevated Skunk Anansie to the status of Glastonbury Pyramid Stage headliners in 1999. Celebrate its birthday in style with this lavish edition!
