The recommended releases for 5 August<\/strong> kick off with Dinosaur Jr<\/strong>\u2019s Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 as entertaining a slice of riotous rock\u2019n\u2019roll as you could wish to hear. Wild Beasts<\/strong>\u2019 Boy King<\/em><\/strong> is for all those who enjoy sinuous melodies winding around some beautifully dark songs. Blues Pills<\/strong> also bring full-on rock\u2019n\u2019roll with Lady In Gold<\/em><\/strong>. The Cadillac Three<\/strong> vary the pace with their Southern Gothic Bury Me In My Boots<\/em><\/strong>. Somewhere in London<\/em><\/strong> is a great 2-CD + DVD live album package concentrating on the last 2 nights of Marillion<\/strong>\u2019s Somewhere Else tour. Unbelievably there are still some unreleased Elvis Presley<\/strong> recordings out there, and Way Down In The Jungle Room<\/em><\/strong> collects some of these from 1976. Haley Bonar<\/strong>\u2019s Impossible Dream<\/em><\/strong> is relentlessly catchy but, under all that, serious.<\/p>\n

Our recommended release of the week is Blossoms<\/strong>\u2019 ridiculously good self-titled debut album.<\/p>\n
