Out on 16 October<\/strong>, The Twilight Sad<\/strong>’s Òran Mór Session<\/em><\/strong> is a bewitching companion to last year’s acclaimed album. There are spme wonderful John Foxx<\/strong>’s soundscapes in London Overgrown<\/em><\/strong>. Alela Diane<\/strong> has teamed up with Ryan Francesconi<\/strong> to deliver a fine new release. There’s also a couple of folk releases seeing the light of day this week: first, Bellowhead<\/strong> mark their farewell tour by releasing a career retrospective called Pandemonuim<\/em><\/strong>; second, an unreleased early John Renbourn<\/strong> tape sees a welcome release, with sleeve notes by John himself written just before he passed. This week also sees the welcome re-release of long-out-of-print British psychedelia classic Morning Way<\/em><\/strong> by Trader Horne<\/strong>. Co-pilgrim<\/strong> also favour us with their third album, Slows To Go<\/em><\/strong> – if you’re in the area, the album launch show takes place on 25th October at The Hyde Tavern<\/a> in Winchester, and it’s free! There’s also a 6-CD\/8-LP box set from Brad Mehldau<\/strong>, divided into four themes. Release of the week is Josh Ritter<\/strong>’s very fine Sermon On The Rocks<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
