First out the box this week is Masquerade<\/em><\/strong>, the much-anticipated debut album from Cork\u2019s acclaimed Cardinals<\/strong>, at once grand and intimate: a set of emotionally expansive songs with influences from the brittle honesty of folk to the theatrical melodrama of goth-rock.<\/p>\n

Charli xcx<\/strong>, whose innovative style and entrepreneurial drive have reshaped pop culture, has now written the score for Emerald Fennel\u2019s highly anticipated film of the Emily Bront\u00eb classic Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We Mean It, Man!<\/em><\/strong> blends post-punk textures and aggro with Gogol Bordello<\/strong>\u2019s free-wheeling gypsy-punk over twelve super-punchy and hook-laden songs. This is the album and political message the world needs now.<\/p>\n

Live at Nelsonica & Clothworkers Hall<\/em><\/strong> is a musically ambitious set from the unique musical trio Bill Nelson\u2019s Orchestra Futura<\/strong>: hypnotic looped flutes, fretless bass grooves and experimental electronics, all topped with Nelson\u2019s extraordinary guitar playing.<\/p>\n

Grammy Award-winning bassist David Ellefson (Ex-Megadeth) and acclaimed metal vocalist Jeff Scott Soto have once again joined forces as Ellefson\u2013Soto<\/strong> to release Unbreakable<\/em><\/strong>: a sonic assault packed with catchy riffs, melodic vocals and thoughtful lyrics.<\/p>\n

Our release of the week is The Complete Live at Sin-e<\/em><\/strong>, which presents Jeff Buckley<\/strong>\u2019s live performances in a cramped club on the lower east side of Manhattan in the early \u201990s armed with only an electric guitar, stunning audiences with his mysterious, emotionally uncompromising playing.<\/p>\n
