Springsteen\u2019s 20th studio album was recorded at his home studio in New Jersey, and is his first album including the E Street Band since 2012\u2019s <em>High Hopes<\/em> and their first performances together since 2016\u2019s The River Tour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>I love the emotional nature of Letter To You,<\/em>\u201d says Springsteen. \u201c<em>And I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we\u2019ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I\u2019ve ever had.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Letter To You<\/em> includes nine recently written Springsteen songs, as well as new recordings of three of his legendary, but previously unreleased, compositions from the 1970s, \u2018Janey Needs a Shooter\u2019, \u2018If I Was the Priest\u2019, and \u2018Song for Orphans\u2019. Springsteen is joined on <em>Letter To You<\/em> by Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Charlie Giordano and Jake Clemons.
