Said to be inspired as much by French psychedelic pop as it was classic electro, soul, rock, disco and dance, the follow-up to 2015\u2019s acclaimed <em>Chasing Yesterday<\/em> has been described as an \u201c<em>exhilarating collection of placid instrumentals, hypnotic, eastern-influenced grooves, gutsy balcony-shakers and widescreen, cinematic walls of sound<\/em>\u201d. <strong><em>Hello Sammy<\/em><\/strong> is <strong>Bella Hardy<\/strong>\u2019s ninth solo album and bears the marks of extensive musical expeditions far from her Peak District home, living and working in Nashville and Yunnan Province in South West China. Bella returned with a musical suitcase overflowing with new lyrical and musical ideas, the changes to her life flowing through every word and note of this accomplished and grown-up record. <strong>Squeeze<\/strong> return with a new album which manages to be both reassuringly familiar and intriguingly different: <strong><em>The Knowledge<\/em><\/strong> offers up another dozen examples of high-quality Chris Difford &amp; Glenn Tilbrook song-craft. <strong>Samantha Fish<\/strong> delivers some of her most compelling music to date with her fifth studio album, <strong><em>Belle Of The West<\/em><\/strong>, a deeply soulful, personally charged 11-song set that showcases her sublime acoustic guitar skills as well as her rootsy, emotionally resonant songwriting. <strong><em>A Brand New Me<\/em><\/strong> pairs classic vocals from some of the most iconic songs that Queen of Soul <strong>Aretha Franklin<\/strong> recorded for Atlantic Records with new arrangements performed by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The result is another timeless record that retains the soul, groove, and gospel power of Franklin\u2019s revered talent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bj\u00f6rk<\/strong> said of her ninth studio album, <strong><em>Utopia<\/em><\/strong>: \u201c<em>If we\u2019re gonna survive not only my personal drama but also the sort of situation the world is in today, we\u2019ve got to come up with a new plan. If we don\u2019t have the dream, we\u2019re just not gonna change.
