{"id":1273,"date":"2017-03-10T17:30:49","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T17:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hundredrecords.com\/blog\/?p=1273"},"modified":"2017-04-11T18:29:47","modified_gmt":"2017-04-11T17:29:47","slug":"new-releases-17mar2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hundredrecords.com\/blog\/new-releases-17mar2017\/","title":{"rendered":"New releases for 17 March 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>17 March<\/strong> brings some great new releases our way.<\/p>\n<p>First up is <strong>Gary Clark Jr<\/strong>, an incendiary guitarist who mixes blues and soul to great effect; <strong><em>Live In North America 2016<\/em><\/strong> really showcases his extraordinary live show. <strong>Conor Oberst<\/strong> brings us <strong><em>Salutations<\/em><\/strong>, a full-band rework of last year\u2019s astonishing <em>Ruminations<\/em> plus an extra 10 songs \u2013 and surprisingly, given how sparse and intimate the original songs were, rather than disappear under the weight of the the band treatment they really unfold and grow into very different compositions. <strong>Real Estate<\/strong> have long been respected for their deft lyrical hand and gorgeous melodies, and <strong><em>In Mind<\/em><\/strong> builds on the band\u2019s reputation for creating perfect songs and carries Martin Courtney further into the pantheon of great songwriters. In <strong><em>Memories Of Another Future<\/em><\/strong>, Louisa Roach a.k.a. <strong>She Drew A Gun<\/strong> offers up chugged guitars and a laid-back percussive tempo thats glides effortlessly through blues-tinged and soulful offerings, lovely!
